Returns & Warranty Policy


Initiating a Return or Exchange

Timeframe: Within 14 days of delivery.

To start a return or exchange, please visit our returns portal and follow the prompts: https://meanddecor.com/returns

Returns requested after 14 days will only be accepted if the item is covered by an extended warranty (see Section 5).

Return Shipping & Labels

  • Customer-Paid Returns: You are responsible for generating and paying for your own return label via your local post office. Ship the item to the return address provided to you via email.
  • Warranty or Defect: If your product is covered under our standard warranty or has a confirmed defect, we will email you a prepaid return label.
  • Packaging: Please package items securely, using the original packaging when possible. Any damage that occurs during return shipping will void your return eligibility.

Damages, Defects & Missing Parts

Upon Arrival: Inspect your order immediately upon receipt. Photograph any visible damage right away, mark the item "damaged" in the portal, and upload your photos or videos.

Assessment & Resolution: Within 3 business days of receiving your submission, we will review the provided media to assess the issue. Based on our assessment, we will determine the appropriate resolution, which may include sending replacement parts, manufacturing a full replacement, or issuing a refund.

Missing Parts for Open-Box Items: Open-box purchases are non-returnable and non-refundable. If parts are missing from an open-box item, we will ship the necessary replacement components at no charge.

Refunds & Restocking Fees

  • Refund Timing: Once we receive and inspect your returned item, refunds will be processed within 3–10 business days. Please be aware that your bank may require additional time to post the credit to your account.
  • Restocking Fee: A restocking fee of up to 50% may be applied to returns that are not due to a manufacturer defect or covered under warranty. This fee helps cover the costs associated with inspection, repackaging, and logistics.
  • Non-received Items: If your order does not arrive within 60 business days, please contact us for assistance. We will investigate with the carrier, and if the package is confirmed lost, we will issue a full refund. We are not responsible for packages sent to incorrect addresses provided by the customer.

To make a warranty claim, please email support@meanddecor.com with your order number, photos or videos illustrating the issue, and a brief description of the problem. We will review your claim and authorize returns or on-site repairs as necessary.

Custom Production Items

Items that are made-to-order or customized to your specifications, such as bespoke switches, custom-sized lighting, or personalized furniture, are non-refundable.

Order Cancellations & Failure to Accept Delivery

  • Before Shipment: To cancel an order before it ships, please email returns@meanddecor.com within 48 hours of placing your order.
  • After Shipment: Once an order has shipped (usually within 1-2 days), it cannot be canceled. You must receive the item and then initiate a return through our portal following the process outlined in Sections 1-3.
  • Refused Delivery / Incorrect Address: If you refuse delivery or provide an incorrect shipping address that results in the item being returned to us, a refund will be processed once we receive the item back. Please note that this refund will be issued minus the original shipping costs and any applicable restocking fees.
